Good Reports - 4th February 2009
I got good reports from New York on Tuesday, February 3. The Oncologist who ordered the body scan said, "It is a good report. There are five tiny (millimeters) pinpoints that may or may not be a problem." He said he wants to keep a close watch on them but that for now was pleased with the result.
The radiologist ordered a brain scan and was very pleased as the he tumor had "significantly shrunk" and the larger one had “marginally shrunk". She said the blood hemorrhage made it hard to see but that it was definitely a bit smaller. When George Jones asked her if she considered them dead she said, "Yes". She went on to tell us that at this point (two months after diagnosis) she most often had to give bad news and often tell the person that their brain was "peppered with tumors". George asked her about prognosis she said, "It is according to what you mean by prognosis. You have to understand melanoma is a very aggressive cancer. His situation is still very tenuous.
We don't talk about cure but I have had some men who have lived a few good years." I told her that she was going to be surprised that I was going to get well. George told her that we were people of faith and were believing God. I think her remark was that we were off to a good start.
It was recommended that I take another course of the chemo (6 weeks on and 2 wks off) and then take the tests again in Singapore and see where we are. I am free to travel and will go back to Singapore from Chicago on Tuesday.
Tenuous – slight, weak, doubtful, slender, delicate
(I don’t define this word to give credit to the enemy but rather to give praise for what Jesus is doing because it is obvious that the doctors do not expect me to live very long. So Jesus is and will be praised because I shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord.)
Barbara’s condition
No test have shown Barb to have tumors. Jesus definitely touched her and removed the cancer in her back.
The situation is that her tumor marker has been rising and rose again significantly her last test. (The doctors consider the tumor marker is a good indicator of cancer being somewhere in her body.)
The doctor has not ordered another PET scan as it is too soon since the last one, which was taken during her stay in the States. That scan was basically clean with a spot on her T5 vertebrae that the doctor said merited watching but of which he was not alarmed.
With the rising counts the doctor will however order a scan next month if they don’t go down significantly.
The doctor is trying to avoid changing the chemo as this is the only oral chemo available to Barbara. Any new chemo would be more harsh and intravenous.
I had a experience last Sunday that I feel has secured my total healing. I was worshiping at Faith Tabernacle in Manchester with the Elliott’s. I remembered how I got the Holy Ghost when I was twelve. I thought, “It is not a matter of if I get the Holy Ghost. It may be a matter of when but not if. God’s word is true and his promises certain. Since it is certain that I will get it I might as well say thank you.” I did and started speaking in tongues about one minute later.
I had a similar moment of clarity and said it is not if I’m healed it may be when and I started thanking him knowing the healing was already a done deal. And Jesus has assured me he will not heal me without healing Barbara.
So until the work is complete we thank you for your prayers and love.

PS> This past week was difficult for Barbara. In an attempt to make this chemo control her cancer he upped her dosage to the max. By last Sat. her feet were “on fire” and she could not walk without assistance. Things are better now, as her week off has started.
I don’t know if there is a point when we can say to Jesus, “Ok this is where we draw the line. By the power of your blood, your name and your Spirit I command a reversal. I command total healing of Barbara’s blood, bones and body In Jesus Name. If there is such a time for me it has come.
